This year I have made a promise to myself to be more of an active blogger. I know, I know it is February already but I've been busy. I want to be able to let people know out there what I've been up to other than being a full time mum. I've been busy over the Christmas and New Year period. Not only did I manage to make a number of Jinny Beyer's soccer balls for presents.
I have started my 2011 UFO list. My major project that I have been actively working on is my hexagons.
My little girl has turned 4 and we had to celebrate over 2 days. She didn't have a party but she did have her chocolate cake with chocolate icing, sprinkles and marshmallows (substituted for smarties). She was just happy that her younger brother was able to have a piece of cake as Mummy made one of his special allergy cakes.
And a special little boy in my Mother's Group turned 2. He was our Kris Kringle for Christmas so he got...yes...that's right a soccer ball, which his mother tells me he absolutely adores. So for his birthday I made him a special quilt. Whilst taking photos, I forgot to get one of the finished product but here it is not quilted (I quilted in the ditch and bound in black).
Well that's it for now. I have been blogging and checking in with my favourite sites. Found some great BOMs and have started in the Layer Cake Quilt Along which I need to put up on my blog.
